The crew, lead by Captain Tammie Jo Shults, one of the first F-18 female pilots in the US Navy, did an excellent job getting the aircraft safely on the ground. Sadly one passenger lost her life in the accident.
They said that there's a Ring that goes around the engine which is supposed to keep the pieces in place on explosion
That didn't work, thus the Women death.
